Heather & Travis were married in Sand Creek, WI last October, with their wedding reception in Bloomer, WI at The Pines Ballroom. I was fortunate to be a part of their day as a Secondary Photographer for Dewitz Photography. Travis & I work together on nearly every wedding we shoot with one of us being the other person’s back up. This means double the equipment in case something were to go wrong, as well as a man to stay with the guys and me to stay with the girls capturing the intimate “getting ready” portion of the wedding day. We also have very starkly different styles, and while the Primary photographer does all of the editing for the couple, a lot of the times our differences in style show up in the final images. This also guarantees that less of the important and intimate moments will be missed because there is a photographer with you nearly every moment of the day.
Heather & Travis’s wedding was filled with so much love and excitement from the beginning. It was the first time I have ever seen a brother come to help his sister get ready for her big day and I was choking back emotion as I watched the two together. The family bond was so evident the entire day, and I think you’ll notice it in the photos. I chose to do this entire blog in black & white because I’ve been wanting to do it for a while, and since this was not technically my wedding, I can do what I want. Please enjoy!
Who said you can’t have a black & white wedding? After editing this one, I think I want to do more. The pure emotion from each image is amplified by the black & white edits. I hope you enjoyed viewing! If so, please feel free to leave a comment!Thank you!
